On our mission to create supply chain transparency  and a better fashion ecosystem, members of the tex.tracer team embarked on a journey to meet some of tex.tracer’s proud partners. During this journey, a visit to the supply chain partners of our valued client Groenendijk was on the agenda. From confectioning to spinning, from communication to collaboration, our visit provided valuable insights into the experience of these partners with the tex.tracer platform and their perspective on the need for transparency in the industry.

Our first visit to EK’s suppliers brought us to Gloria Casa Moda, where transparency and collaboration are key pillars of their sustainability commitment. Gloria Casa Moda serves both as a buying house and an agent, streamlining the production process to ensure orders are fulfilled with precision and efficiency. Their emphasis on communication and partnership with companies like Groenendijk underscores their commitment to long-term sustainability and mutual success.

Our communication with Groenendijk is very good, almost on a daily basis. This is crucial as it helps us work well together and understand each other's needs.
Mac Selvan, Managig director at Gloria Casa Moda.

Other key partners were Ennem Clothing, Label World Trims and Metro Knit Fab, each playing a pivotal role in the supply chain for Groenendijk. Confectioning partner Ennem Clothing stands out for its operational excellence, with a dedication to efficiency and quality in every stitch. Moreover, Label World Trims serves as a vital link in the supply chain, ensuring that every garment is equipped with the required labels and therefore bearing the hallmark of quality and authenticity. Their meticulous attention to certification and detail underscores the importance of transparency and accountability in the supply chain. Knitting partner Metro Knit Fab embodies innovation and sustainability, promoting the use of recycled materials and renewable energy sources. Their dedication to eco-friendly practices sets a benchmark for a greener future in the fashion industry. Together, these partners illustrate a shared commitment to transparency, quality, and sustainability.

As we engaged with these suppliers, it became clear that sustainability is not just a buzzword to them; it's a guiding principle shaping the future of fashion. From reducing carbon emissions to promoting renewable energy, from embracing eco-friendly materials to fostering transparent communication, Groenendijk and its partners are putting in the effort towards a more sustainable and ethical fashion ecosystem.

The visits to Groenendijk’s partners underscore the power of knowing and understanding your value chain. One of our recent launched features helps to streamline this process even further, as we offer the possibility to delegate orders. This means if an order is assigned to an importer and they don’t have complete insights on the supply chain, they can simply delegate orders to their supply chain partner. This allows partners to add to the remaining supply chain, hence brands and retailers can gain deeper insights and know the supply chain completely. With this feature, Gloria as an importer, can delegate the order to Ennem Clothing, the garment manufacturer. Ennem Clothing can then assign the remainder supply chain to the right partners for each order.

As we at tex.tracer continue to advocate for responsible practices in the fashion industry, we stand alongside our partners like Groenendijk, united in our commitment to building a more sustainable andequitable future for fashion. Together, we're creating a better fashionecosystem.
